Oleoresin of Siberian Fir
Oleoresin of fir is naturally occurring mixture of an oil and a resin extracted from Siberian Fir.
Oleoresins of fir are made from carefully cleaned of mechanical impurities and water soluble organic acids, as well as the distillation of volatile parts.
Siberian Fir oleoresin - resin contained in blisters in the bark, and stand out from incisions in the damaged bark fir (Abies Sibirica). Due to evaporation and crystallization of turpentine turpentine resin acids in the air thickens. Solidify on the surface of the trunk and protects the wood from the penetration of bark beetles, fungi and other pathogens, heals the wound (hence the name).
Properties:
Oleoresin has amazing healing "life-giving" properties:
Used mainly to treat topical problems of all kinds, the oleoresin of fir is used in the form of a healing and analgesic protective covering to deal with all sorts of burns, to treat bruises and to heal general wounds on the skin.
Besides being a potent antiseptic agent, the resin also possesses anti-scorbutic, diaphoretic, tonic and diuretic qualities.
Thanks to them, it is widely used to treat and prevent various diseases and for cosmetic purposes.
Technical use of oleoresin of Siberian Fir: Terms of use due to such a property of resin as a lack of propensity to crystallization, the closeness of the refractive index of resin to the refractive index of optical glass and a good ability to glue the glass.
